Law of sines: A = 30°, B = 60°, a = 10

Find the third angle and the two remaining sides with the law of sines.

Answer C = 90°, b = 17.3205, c = 20

Solution

  1. Given A = 30°, B = 60°, side a = 10
  2. Third angle C = 180° − A − B = 90°
  3. Law of sines a / sin A = 10 / 0.5 = 20
  4. Side b b = (a/sin A)·sin B = 17.3205
  5. Side c c = (a/sin A)·sin C = 20
