Distance from (1, 2) to (4, 6)
Use the distance formula to find the length between two points.
Solution
- Points P₁(1, 2), P₂(4, 6)
- Differences Δx = 3, Δy = 4
- Distance d = √(Δx² + Δy²) = √(9 + 16) = 5
- Midpoint M = ((x₁+x₂)/2, (y₁+y₂)/2) = (2.5, 4)
